How to do wedding guest dressing the Alexa Chung way

I know it's a cliché, but Alexa Chung is one of my style idols. She just gets it. I have a few weddings to attend this summer and I've been obsessing over what to wear (and I can't recycle, I just can't), and Alexa's Instagram has become my guest dress inspiration.

I came across a pic of Alexa wearing a black print maxi dress recently (and it went straight on my Pinterest board) and on my extensive hunt for something like it, I found this baby in Zara that fits the bill.

Resplendent in Valentino, Alexa wore this gown for a jaunt around her local park and then for a coffee.
