You only need these 3 things to disguise a Christmas Day hangover

If you tend to overdo it on Christmas Eve you need this recovery trio for your hungover on Christmas morning.

Let me set the scenario. Christmas Eve is your favourite night of the year. Everybody who you have ever known is in the pub for a few festive vodkas and a catch-up. It's practically impossible to go home early because the craic is positively mighty. This fun situation, unfortunately, leads to a hungover Christmas morning. This little trio will help you to avoid your Mum's disapproving looks while she prepares Christmas dinner. Red eyes and tired skin be gone!

I don't know about your household, but in mine, it's unacceptable to be hungover on Christmas Day. My Mum was always angry if I arrived hanging and basically useless to her for the day. She would whizz around tidying and preparing the turkey and the veg and the spuds. I would be trying to look useful while pretending I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready for our big family day. Hangovers mean tired, red, puffy eyes along with tired, grey, inflamed skin. So, this beauty recipe aims to combat the two main hangover giveaways. Hungover eyes and hungover skin. If you can disguise those two issues you might just get away without a war on Christmas morning. There are three parts to this disguise.

Dewy skin

This is the most difficult part of the look. It's not easy to make your tired, grey skin look healthy. You will need a Vitamin C serum to brighten your skin and even out your skin tone. Then, apply a good amount of an illuminating moisturiser to all the higher planes of your face. Let that soak in for a few minutes. Finally, use a flat head kabuki brush to buff an illuminating foundation into your skin. Contour your cheekbones with a warm-toned bronzer. The warm tones will combat your tired pallor. Then use a peachy blusher with a little shimmer in it to add some colour and lift your cheekbones. Peach is great for neutralizing any redness in your cheeks.

Heaps of Mascara

This one is self-explanatory. Mascara is my ultimate must-have beauty product. When you are hungover you need loads of it. Heaps of mascara will frame your eyes and make them stand out and look more open. Lash. It. On.

Red Lips

Red lipstick is a bit of a miracle worker. It basically makes you look super glamorous no matter what. So even if you're not feeling your most glam, red lipstick will give you an instant lift. It makes you look like you've made and effort. Most importantly, it detracts from your red eyes. It makes you look immediately classic and elegant. I will definitely be sporting a red lip on Christmas morning.
