Video Tutorial: Everyday smokey eye look

Smokey eyes are probably the most asked for makeup look, so I made a quick and easy to follow video for you to show you how.

Everyone's idea of a smokey eye is different. The name "smokey eye" relates to the technique and not the colour, despite popular belief. The technique is the ability to create a seamless and gradient application of eyeshadow from dark to light; it stems from the ancient technique developed by DiVinci called 'sfumato'.

Sfumato comes from the Italian and is derived from "fumo" which means smoke or fume. Translated into English, 'sfumato' means soft, vague or blurred.

With that in mind here is a nice little video of how to create your own sfumato eye.
