Unexpected result from winter skin saver
Do you remember on this post that we were having a conversation about putting bowls of water on the radiators to prevent them from drying out the air and therefore the skin? (Read The skin drying effect of radiators)
Well I started to do just that. I've been leaving bowls of water beside the fire and the radiators. And I've been absolutely staggered by the way the water is evaporating.
"My God! Look at that!" I kept saying to the husband.
"That's all moisture that would have been sucked from the air. This is incredible." Then I would shake my head at the skin drying possibilities of radiators and smugly top up my bowls with new water.

All was going well until yesterday when I saw Cosmo Cat slurping from a radiator bowl. Then Spice was drinking from the bowl by the fireside.
They'd obviously been doing it covertly all along. None of the water was having a chance to put moisture into the air. The feckin cats had been drinking it the whole time and I never noticed.
Scuppered again.
