SS11: Giorgio Armani Transluminence Face Palette
The Giorgio Armani beauty line is probably best known for foundation - the Luminous Silk Foundation has topped polls since the line launched 10 years ago - but for me one of its standout products is blush. The permanent collection has a lovely range of natural-toned colours that blend beautifully to give a gorgeous glowy effect, so I'm always interested in checking out their limited edition shades too.
After the disappointment of the AW10 blush never turning up on these shores, I pretty much pounced on the Spring 2011 "Face Palette" when it landed on counters here a few weeks back. Face Palette is a bit of a confusing name here, since the compact contains but one shade of blush and it isn't so sheer that you'd apply it all over as a brightening powder. Perhaps they wanted to differentiate it from the Sheer Blush in the permanent collection, or maybe they just wanted an excuse to rename it to go along with the shiny new packaging.

Either way, this is a beautiful shade of delicate, ballerina pink - perfect for Spring. It applies as smoothly and softly as all Armani blushes do and has a translucent quality that gives a really natural glow. The colour is buildable too, so whether you want a very sheer glow or deeper colour, it's easy to create the effect you want.
Priced at €36, this isn't cheap, but if you're on the lookout for a luxury treat that is worth the spend, this could be just the thing you're looking for!
