SS11: Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Mascara
NEW MASCARA ALERT. STOP. COMES IN COLOURS TOO. STOP. PLUS PRETTY PACKAGING. END TRANS.
Yup, there's a new lash flatterer in town in the form of Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Mascara. At €27, it's not exactly cheap, and while I've only given the black a quick whirl, Aphrodite's been using and loving these. We'll no doubt be telling you more about 'em in due course, so consider this post a heads-up.
Four shades (two of 'em limited) are on offer. Extreme Black, Extreme Brown, Limited Edition Extreme Indigo and Limited Edition Extreme Violet are gettable on counter now.
My speed-trial of Extreme Black netted the following results: I like the brush, it's a wedge-shaped affair with enough old-skoolness to satisfy bog brush traditionalists but enough new-gen gubbins to pass muster with me.

Goop-wise, I've never been madly blown away by an Estee Lauder mascara but this range promises a "mousse-like formula [that] contains a calculated blend of light-weight gels, polymers, waxes and pigments that create lightweight volume without clumping. A new blend of hybrid powders made of different sizes, spherical Silica and plates of mica, maximises volume to the extreme."
Science how are ya! Yep, it is very clean in application; you can build it; it doesn't seem to clog and it fans lashes out nicely. Not as volumising as I was expecting, more testing required, I think. And the shade range is very pretty - above you're looking at the brown and the limited-edition violet shade.
Lancome has a line of tinted mascara out at the moment too and to be honest, you just can't see any colour in them - they're a bit like that paint range where you have 85 different shades of white. All of which look, er, exactly the same on the wall. Ditto the mascara. Black with a hint of purple/green just looks black.
Not the case with these - there's tons of colour and differentiation between them. I also like the fact the brown tends to bronze rather than a flat matte colour, and am resolving to check out violet next. Look at it! It's just so pretty.
