Sparkles: Not Just For The Silly Season
Some people might think that there's a time and place for sparkly eyeshadow and that time and place is Christmas and all the Christmassy events but we're not members of that camp. We say bring on the sparkles all year round!
We're very excited about these gorgeous little pots of delight from Urban Decay. Coming in four shades; Ether - a smoky purple with pink-blue 3D sparkle; Scorpio - matte black with gold 3D sparkle; Solstice - metallic pink-red with green 3D sparkle; and Cosmic - metallic white with iridescent sparkle; the four Moondust Eyeshadows are pretty mesmerizing. Pretty and mesmerising if you will.
We got our hands on the Ether shade - which, incidentally is based on Urban Decay's 24/7 eye pencil in Ether - and honestly, it's just up my street.
I play it quite safe when it comes to makeup but I usually like to glam up the aul peepers when I'm going Out Out. The trouble is, it always takes me ages and I more often than not I end up looking like I used coal rather than kohl. This little pot looks to be my saviour.
Urban Decay recommend applying the Moondust shadows with a wet finger or brush (and then to blend the edges it with a dry brush.) I tried it and it's so easy peasy and dramatic. Hooked.
The look is more subtle when you use a dry finger and I don't care, I'm wearing it during the day from now on. Forever and ever.

Each Moondust shade comes in a special pop-out compact so the shadow can be transferred into on of Urban Decay's Build Your Own Palettes (one of the things we love about Urban Decay.)
Each pot costs €18.50 and are available at Debenhams (and at www.debenhams.ie) and House of Fraser stores.
Have you tried out these shadows? Do they look like something you might like to try?
