Sneak Peek! Some New Year Fragrance Offerings From Chanel
We’ve already had a nosey at Chanel’s Christmas collection (and very nice it is too) but if you’re a fan of the fashion house’s perfumes - the Chancey ones in particularly – keep an eye out next month as there’s some limited edition beauts landing (and a permanent new arrival too). They’re on counter just a few weeks after Christmas, which is either rubbish timing or, in fact, perfect: “Helllooo Christmas pressie gift voucher splurge!”
There are three colourful limited edition 35ml bottles (€58 a pop) of Chance, Chance Eau Fraîche and Chance Eau Tendre. If you’re not familiar with the fragrances:
- Chance is a floral with a spicy twist and has notes of jasmine, pink pepper and warm amber patchouli,
- Chance Eau Fraîche is a sparkling floral with jasmine, citron and teak wood, while
- Chance Eau Tendre is a floral fruity with jasmine, white musks and green notes of grapefruit-quince.
Also arriving for a limited time for spring is the Chance Hair Mist (€40.50 for 35ml). Now Chanel isn’t the first brand to do a hair fragrance (Thierry Mugler’s Angel hair mist and Tamara Ecclestone’s Show Beauty hair perfume come to mind) but we’re not sure about them at all.

They might be a good option if you want just a hint of a fragrance (and this one doesn’t dry hair out) but really, spritzing some perfume into the air and stepping through the cloud of fragrance would be our preferred option if that’s what we were going for!
The products above are all limited edition but there’s a permanent new arrival too in the form of the Chance Eau Tendre Moisturising Body Cream (€69.50). A fragranced body lotion, from any brand really, is great for layering scent or for just a subtle fragrance effect – with, in this case, some seriously lush body moisturising going on too!
The new Chanel goodies hit counters on January 16.
