Sneak Peek: L.O.V RawMantic Collection
Let's get RawMantic
2016 has been a bumper year in terms of new beauty brands coming to Ireland, with cult favourites such as Kat Von D and delilah becoming available as well as the sleek, looks-more-expensive-than-it-is L.O.V cosmetics (and you know how much we love a good value brand here at Beaut!). Now, we know it's not even Christmas yet... but we couldn't resist giving everyone a sneak peek at what's to come in the new year from L.O.V.
So far, we've been very taken with their Christina's Red lipstick (€9.99) from the Lip Affair range; a near perfect dupe for one of Chanel's most popular lipsticks (you can read about that here) as well as their mascara (€9.99) and nail colours.
Looking ahead to January/February and L.O.V's second exclusive collection RawMantic will hit the shops (including Shaws Departments stores and selected pharmacies). The baked powders, shimmer and multi-dimensional nail colours have all been inspired by "the natural beauty of uncut diamonds" as well as precious gems stones, so if you're a fan of sparkle then this is the collection for you.
We've managed to get our paws on a few of the new products to show you what's what. To start there are the new baked Million Sparks eye shadows (€9.95), available in 3 shades; Green Seduction, Glamorous Granite and Sparkling Nude (which is pictured above) To accompany this, there's Broken Promises, a baked highlighter that gives a warm, subtle glow to cheeks. Both have a similar texture that is easy to blend and feels light to wear - but you can see them swatched below too.

Also in the collection is the slightly rose toned liquid highlighter; Illusionary (€12.95). This comes in a generous sized bottle and works well for both face and body. Use it on its own for a dewy, strobe effect or if you're skin is looking a little ghostly during the winter months, mix a little into a moisturiser for an instant complexion pick-me-up on arms and legs too.
Rounding out the collection are the new Satin Lip Glosses (€7.95) available in two shades; "Seductive Red" and "Glistening Nude", a highly pigmented deep red and glassy, pearl gloss respectively. The formula for both feels comfortable to wear, although the red has more of a semi-matte effect when compared to the more classic nude gloss (not sure why that is to be honest, but there you have it).
All in all the collection definitely has more of a Valentine's night out kind of feel to it, so if you're thinking that far ahead into the future then Rawmantic is going to be the range to keep an eye out for in the new year.
Will this be on your radar? Or are you still thinking about what Santa's going to be putting in your stockings?
