Royal praise for mineral foundation: Principessa gives her verdict
She says "after all the blathering about mineral make-up I decided I had to try it for myself. Too lazy to bother traipsing around town searching for the L’Oreal version, I ordered from Lily Lolo as recommended by one of the Beaut.ies. For about £5 I had myself a generous sample of foundation and bronzer, plus smaller samples of blusher and two eye shadows."
Her first impressions weren't great. "Working from home the day it arrived I ripped open the package and went to work applying it all. I was sooo disappointed: what was everyone raving about? This looked like old-fashioned pressed powder, it sat on my skin, and it was awful. Too busy to take it all off and put on my regular make-up, I continued slaving away at my computer and forgot about it.
"About an hour later on a trip to the bathroom I did a double take when I caught sight of myself in the mirror. Who was this divine creature with glowing skin? Me? Couldn’t be! No, it was a picture of Cindy Crawford on the back of the bathroom door, but I did look different and my skin was glowing. Sometime over the sixty minutes since I had applied the mineral powder it had transformed from granny powder into a gorgeous foundation.

"The next day I took my time applying it and yes it still looked “wrong†when it went on initially, but within 10 minutes or so it blends with your skin’s oils and gives a very natural finish, perfect for day-time. So, first impressions can be misleading!"
Thanks Principessa - and I'm sure you looked every bit as good as Cindy anyway!
