Products for Extremely Sensitive and Roseacea Prone Skin
It's a derma-skincare brand that's committed to rigorous standards and product testing, and their product ranges reflect that. With a raft of recent launches, including some seriously impressive sun care additions to their acclaimed Anthelios suite, and their Lipikar range for extremely dry skins, this is a brand that's going from strength to strength.
I'm currently impressed by Cicaplast, which is pro-recovery skincare for those who have just undergone a chemical peel, or for anyone with flaking and chapped skin. It helps to reduce inflammation and accelerate repair due to ingredients like Madecassoside, a dermatologically proven active ingredient. This product is also perfect for skin that's sensitised following dermabrasion or laser treatment, and because of its ability to speed up skin repair, it's great for summer when all sorts of issues befall us like minor burns from barbeques and insect bites.

Another new launch is Thermal Spring Water - it's an aerosol containing the base ingredient of all La Roche Posay products - spa water, pure and simple. What makes La Roche Posay spa water different is the fact that it contains Selenium which is a naturally ocurring anti free radical agent that can help with the aging process. This wonder ingredient is an anti-inflammatory, helps with healing and is also non irritating to sensitive skin. Perfect for summer, you can use the spray to set makeup, as a cooling spritz of moisture or as a toner after cleansing.
Impressive product ranges nothwithstanding, one of the other excellent things about this range is the sheer affordability - Cicaplast is €11.95 for 40ml, and the Thermal Spring Water aerosol is €7.50 for 150ml. Both are available from selected pharmacies nationwide.
