Outta This World: Thierry Mugler Alien EDT
I know I'm not the only one to have wondered what Thierry Mugler was on when he decided to call a fragrance Alien. Nutter, right? However, I discovered recently that the name wasn't borne of an idea to have women smell like gooey green interplanetary beings. Monsieur Mugler imagined Alien to be a gorgeous feminine creation, the goddess of the sun, a radiant and mysterious entity with the power to reveal each woman's brilliance.
So now.
The scent had previously only been available as an eau de parfum, but an eau de toilette is now on counter. It's a floral woody fragrance and is actually a nice autumnal scent - tangerine essence lends energy without being overly zesty (or orange-y!) while earthy yet sensual white amber and cashmerean wood keep the fragrance grounded. Sandwiched between the two is a bouquet of white flowers like Moroccan jasmine. Yum.
