Olay Everday Sunshine: Little Dolly gets tangoed

Little Dolly left this very entertaining comment about Olay Everyday Sunshine the other day - it deserves to reach a wider audience!

I’m no fake tan virgin, but nor am I what one might call a tanorexic. By far the worst disaster I’ve ever experienced is with Olay Everyday Sunshine in ‘Light’ (would you credit it.) My skin is not particularly sensitive, especially on my face, and whilst very fair, is not what I’d call extremely pale. Despite the fact that I’m mixed race (one parent is part eastern European and thus very pale, much paler than I, but the other parent is Pakistani.) I’ve always thought the fact that with such exotic parentage, that I ended up so utterly British in appearance to be extremely unfair.

I didn’t want to go OTT and end up looking ridiculously dark so picked up the aforementioned product, prepared my skin (very smooth and in great condition at the mo, which renders my results even more ridiculous) and used an absolutely miniscule amount, about the size of a small 5p piece. I was very optimistic about the results, so imagine my absolute horror when I awoke to find my face an staggering shade of nuclear orange. Not only that, but my smooth skin had become irritated and red around the nose and between my eyebrows, and my skin whilst suddenly extremely oily, was simultaneously flakey.

This was weeks ago and my skin, while no longer orange to such an epic degree, is nowhere near as smooth in tone as it once was and despite continued religious use of my miracle products - philosophy’s Hope In A Jar and Purity Made Simple, is still uneven in tone and irritated around the nose. Extremely traumatic experience!!! Keep away, girls!"
