New! Estee Lauder Pure Colour Vivid Shine Collection

New! Estee Lauder Pure Colour Vivid Shine Collection
By Beaut.ie  | Jul 23, 2012

Last week we gave you a sneaky peek at the stunning nail collections that are headed our way from Estee Lauder. But that’s not all this lovely luxe brand has in store for us, oh no. From next month we’ll also be able to get our hands on the truly gorgeous Pure Colour Vivid Shine collection, the latest wave of super saturated shades for eyes, nails and lips.

Two types of Gelee Powder shadows are on offer here:  ten shimmering metallics, and six limited edition colours in a Vivid Shine finish. I have three of these to show you and they’re brilliant – intense and vibrant, they can be used wet or dry depending on the finish that you want.

Pink eyeshadows were cropping up all over the AW12 runways (see how to wear ‘em here) and Magenta is bang on trend. It won’t work for everyone, but the rich purple undertones mean this’d be lovely on people with darker eyes and hair.

With Pop Pistachio, Tom Pecheux’s throwing out the seasonal rule book – this is a beautiful bright green with gold shimmer with none of the smokiness we might expect at this time of year.

And Ultra Marine? This bright mid toned blue is possibly my favourite of the lot (though that changes on a daily basis!).

The best bit? They’re all as pigmented, creamy and smooth as we’ve come to expect from this fancypants high tech formula – they’re a pleasure to stick on yer mug. They’re €23.

Onto the lippies, and something a little bit different. Sitting beside sixteen shades of Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick are four limited edition ‘luminizers’ –topcoats for layering over other shades, for a variety of lip looks. This one, Gunmetal, is very unusual indeed – a sheer gray shot through with gold, it instantly makes any colour deeper, moodier and more mysterious. Here it is over Fireball, a gorgeous coral red with a little bit of shimmer – they’re both €24.

Three limited edition nail colours round out the collection.  I’m obsessed with Dressed to Kill – a really complex, bronzey red shade – and Black Turquoise is pretty special, too. It goes on much deeper and darker than it looks in the bottle. I’ll be wearing both of them a lot over the coming months. Purple Velvet looks like another stunner, so I’ll be paying it a wee visit on counter too.

What about you? If you’d a few extra bob this payday, what’d be your pick of the bunch?
