NARS Fall 2013: Bold, Wearable, Covetable
The fall (or autumn, as we'd call it round these parts) collection from NARS is a striking one. The group shot below is very dramatic but the collection itself isn't intimidating - it's bold but wearable.
That's something of a NARS trademark: there are some very fashion-forward shades for the adventurous and lots of high-quality, highly covetable ones for the rest of us too.
There's a big focus on eyes and on matte texture in this collection and the shades range from gold to purple and a pop of red with a typically-NARS curve ball shade in there too. In this case it's the bright blue Bavaria Single Eye Shadow.
There are three more eye shadows (€24 each) for autumn: Kamchatka, a purply navy; Namibia, a gorgeous soft grey and limited edition shade Yamal, a golden brown.

They're teamed with two Larger than Life long-wear liners (€25) in Via de'Martelli (a chocolate shade) and Las Ramblas, a bright gold (above).
Matte lips were big on the A/W catwalks and if you want to give the look a try, NARS has you covered. There are two Pure Matte Lipsticks (€26 each) in La Paz (a limited edition purple) and Peloponnese (a ginger pink).
Two Velvet Matte Lip Pencils round out the lip love (€25 each): Paimpol (a shimmery pale pink) and the bold Mysterious Red, which might well be the must-have from the whole collection. Just look at it - fans of deep reds are going to fall completely in love.
Along with Mysterious Red I've also got serious wantses for the Namibia eye shadow and the two nail colours: limited edition dove grey Galatheè and Fury, a bold purple. They're €18 each.
The Fall collection is on counter now. What do you reckon to it? Have you/will you be picking up any bits and pieces?
