Must Have: Rouge Dior Serum de Rouge
Loving lipsticks like I do, I was pretty well disposed towards adoring Dior's new Dior Rouge Serum de Rouge lip yokey. It's not a gloss, it's not a lipstick: this, dear readers of Beaut.ie, is a 'Luminous Colour Lip Treatment'. Ably demonstrated by the pillow-pouted Monica Bellucci, eight shades will sashay onto beauty counters on August 31st, making them an ideal payday pressie.
But what's so good about Rouge Dior Serum de Rouge? Uh, everything.
The luxe cane-work and silver packaging, the clicky mechanism to dispense product - oh, and the actual product itself. There's none of the opacity of a lipstick, but there's more coverage and a lot more staying power than a goss. And it makes lips look, oh, what's the word? Yeah, that's it: luminous. Not in a luminous socks way you understand, but in a beautiful, slightly transparent, plumped, fresh looking way.

Seriously, I couldn't stop looking at my pucker in the mirror. This stuff is BEAUTIFUL. And it's kind to lips in the way lots of products aren't - you don't get that flakey-bits-in-the-afternoon-thing. That's apparently down to an ingredient mix that contains 20% care ingredients like hyaluronic acid, mango butter and regererative doodahs like vitamin a derivatives for cell renewal.
All that don't come cheap, and yep, you'll lay down €32 of your hard-earned for one of these babies. But mine has already become a firm fave and if you're a lipstick fan, you'll adore this product.
