Mistakes you could be making with dry shampoo
Dry shampoo just may be the biggest staple in most women’s beauty drawer.
Its many uses include adding volume and texture but most importantly adding an extra day (or two) to the days between washes.
There are many varieties on the market so finding one that suits you is essential. Another essential is to make sure you’re using it correctly, to really get the best out of your buy.
Here are some common mistakes people make when using dry shampoo:
Spraying too close
When using dry shampoo, always remember to spray at least 6 inches away from your head. If you spray too close you will end up with too much product on your head and with white roots, which we are sure is not the look you are going for.
Using too much product

Another reason why you may end up with white roots is by using too much product. Remember, less is more. You can always add more product and it works well if you layer it.
Only using it on greasy hair
As we mentioned dry shampoo has a plethora of uses. It can be used on clean hair to create volume and texture but also then on day 2 or 3 hair to freshen it up. The uses are endless.
Brushing it through curly hair
Dry shampoo does work best distributed around the hair. If you have curly hair you should stay away from brushing it through. Brushing it through your hair may lose the shape of your curls, instead use your fingers to comb it through.
Rushing it
Dry shampoo takes a minute or two to get going. It absorbs some of the hairs oils to give hair that freshened up look. Don’t brush it out too soon, always give it a couple of minutes to get going.
