How to make strip lashes work for you - for once and for all!
Ah, strip lashes; the bane of nearly every woman's getting ready to go out routine. They really are a tricky situation.
I couldn't count how many times I have been told people don't like using strip lashes because they are last minute makeup ruiners. They are the last stage of eye makeup and have the very real potential to destroy all your hard work blending. And ruin it they will if you get them wrong.
A strip of eyelashes can add so much to your makeup look. They set off all that buffing and blending and finish your carefully chosen colour combination to perfection. They create the perfect, fluffy frame for your eye makeup. Strips make your eyes stand out in photographs and can actually change the shape of your eyes too. The problem is, they are so damn hard to apply.
You've tried all the tricks like using tweezers to hold one end, glueing the lash and the skin separately. You've tried to gently drop the strip onto your natural lashes. But, no matter what, you either rip off your eyeliner or the glue ends up halfway up your eyelid. Or even worse, there is a gap big enough to hold your wallet between your false lash line and your actual lash line.

Okay, here's a solution that actually works. Take your strip lash and scissors and get chopping! This technique works best with lashes that have a feline shape to them so the edges are longer. That means the shorter end will blend into your lashes in the centre lid so they are not too obvious. These Ardell Wispies will work well for this trick. I would snip them about 6 knots in. Chopping them in half lessens the need to be so accurate with your placement. You don't have to worry about one side popping up as you stick the other end. You can even cut them into three or four pieces and apply them as individual clusters of lashes.
They will be so much easier to drop onto the outer edge of your eyelash line and you get two wears out of them!
