Lip Service: L’Absolu Crème de Brillance for Spring/Summer 2010
D'udder week there, when I was in Paris (did I get that in already?) previewing Lancome's O My Rose collection, there were a few other products doing the rounds. Namely the forthcoming L’Absolu Crème de Brillance gloss range - some other European bloggers had seen these babies already but for me it was a first.
A suite of nine new glosses to complement the existing L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick range, these swatched really well when I checked a couple out, and I'd have high hopes they'll perform on the lips too. Lancome are actually bloody good at grown-up gloss - I can very much take or leave Juicy Tubes but the depth of colour and staying power in La Laque Fever lipshine is excellent.
Plumping L'Oreal whizzbang technology Pro-Xylane makes them smoothing and Lancome say this next bit better than me: "Light-reflecting pearl pigments, dispersed in a shimmering oil, give L’Absolu Crème de Brillance a luxurious satiny appearance, which enhances the fullness of the lips." Yup, they were very nice and shimmery.

I was drawn more to the nudes and the one highlighted above is, I *think* Rose Mythique, and it was just gorgeous. This is the one I'd pick, backed up by that pretty coral. A full shade line-up is after the cut and you'll find these on counter from February 15th at Brown Thomas stores and nationwide from the 1st of March 2010. Each gloss will cost €23.
