Nars Limited Edition: Beauty Ed's Pick of the Week

About seven years ago, when I came home from living in Australia, I started to work part time on a Nars counter while working freelance on film and TV productions.

I hadn't had too much experience of Nars until then as I had always worked for other brands, MAC being my longest counter stint, its products making up most of the content of my kit. However, I liked the ethos around the brand and the fact it had been developed and designed by a photographer, François Nars, who understood makeup and how it should be formulated in order to photograph beautifully.

The Nars famous foundation Sheer Glow is a favourite of mine to this day, so when I saw they had launched their first Limited Edition collection, I naturally had to try it out.

The collection includes new rich lip colours, dual-intensity eye shadows and blush compacts. All are inspired by the French Riviera, and the packaging has been illustrated by contemporary artist Konstantin Kakanias.

The lip colours are my particular favourite; they are the perfect summer accessory for your holiday. And that, my friends, is why they are my product of the week.
