Menard are another of my many Japanese cosmetic company crushes - I've never been let down by one yet, and Menard didn't disappoint either. Their cosmetics have been available in Arnotts for some time now, but this post concerns a delicious summer scent they've recently launched, L'eau de Ryokuei.

Bottled in a flacon not disimilar to Guerlain's famous Vetiver scent, it's still very Japanese in concept - designed by artist Toshio Tabuchi, the bottle depicts a maple leaf lying calmly on the surface of water. And the scent itself is a fresh, green one, suitable for both men and women - and perfect for Summer.

If you're a fan of light, aqua scents you'll love this. I'm a massive Elizabeth Arden Green Tea fan and it's my day scent of choice. Well - it was. L'eau de Ryokuei has eclipsed it and is now number one on the Kirstie perfume list. Buy from Arnotts, and prices start at €52.
