Latest Budget Buys from ELF Cosmetics
Another day, another cheeky wee ELF purchase to show you. There's so much great stuff to discover on that site but, to be honest, this lot was a bit of a mixed bag.
I'd been after these eye stencils for the longest time but they were always out of stock. Pixiwoo used a set of stencils in a recent vid for a really lush, full-on brow look, and that's what I was hoping to achieve - but it wasn't to be. All four stencils are thinner than my natural brows, so I won't be getting much use out of them. Just as well they only cost me €1.70, so...
My cuticles are an absolute disgrace so next, I went for this Nourishing Cuticle Pen, also €1.70. I had high hopes it would perform like the Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Cuticle Pen, which I love but never seem to come across. But instead of a brush on applicator, this has a hard nib, which doesn't dispense enough product and feels uncomfortable to use. Ah well.

Thankfully, this baby didn't let me down. I love the Studio Matte Lip Colour in Natural, €4,00, so when I learnt about this new colour it had to be mine. It's everything I dreamt it would be - a gorgeous blue red that's more of semi matte as there's just a hint of sheeniness, making it comfortable to wear.
Finally, I picked up some brushes. Two of them are back-ups for Brush of Wonder and Joy - which I discovered is also amazing for powder! Yes, I know it's called a powder brush, I'm not sure why it took me so long. And it makes blending a breeze, too, I swirl it over my contour, blush and highlight just to make sure I'm not stripey. I'm sure I frequently am stripey, but it's not the fault of this brush.
And speaking of contour, that's what this final brush is for. I'm trying to brush up - no pun intended - on my highlighting/contouring skills, and this fan brush, also €1.70, is the first step. So far, so good - I'll tell you more about that soon.
