G'Day: Australian Haircare Brand Kevin Murphy Launches Across Ireland
Kevin Murphy is an Australian brand (that would surely qualify for us under the Granny rule) that has left the sandy beaches of Summer Bay and the rippling muscles of the River Boys, and has finally made its way over to our shores.
The products were like mystical treasures up until now. While it was available online, only a handful of salons carried the brand. We heard of the rare sightings and we sighed. And after we saw Lynnie dabble with their Color Bug, there was much pink jealousy.
The Color Bug is probably his most well known product. Retailing at €19.50, they are available in pink, purple, orange, white, neon and shimmer. It is like an eye shadow took agin eyelids and defected to serving hair instead. Giving instant colour, it is intended as a "wipe in and wash out" quick way of updating your look.
The Angel Wash (€24) and Angel Rinse (also at €24) are the shampoo and conditioner that most appeal to me from the range. It is designed for fine, fragile or broken hair. It gentle cleanses while retaining colour, which is hairy music to my blonde locks. The conditioner is light and gives volume, and my five limp strands of hair look forward to that.
The Young Again Capsule Collection contains a shampoo, conditioner and masque (all at €26 each). It is infused with Immortelle (L'Occitane are big fans of this long lasting flower) and baobab seed. It aims to restore softness, vitality and shine, so if your hair is currently sporting the backwards-through-a-hedge look, this could be right up your street.

There is also a Hydrate Me range for dry hair and a Luxury range for thick, coarse hair.
The range is sulphate, paraben and PETA certified cruelty free, and the packaging comes in compact recyclable bottles.
And if you are looking for a stocking filler or just looking to put your toe in the Kevin Murphy water, minis are available from €7.
