How To Incorporate Face Oil Into Your Skincare Routine
The idea of using oil on your skin might be scary to some but it's actually very beneficial. Here's how to incorporate face oil into your skincare routine. The benefits of face oil
Contrary to popular belief face oil is beneficial for all skin types even oily and acne-prone.
Not all face oils are pore-clogging and some can actually help control acne so if you're worried about using oil on your skin just make sure you stick with this type and you shouldn't have a problem.
Face oils are not only great for hydration, but they can also help even out your skin tone, reduce scarring and help protect your skin from bacteria or harmful pollutants.
This is due to the high concentration of antioxidants, fatty acids and essential nutrients.

How to add face oil to your skincare routine
The best way to incorporate face oil into your skincare routine is to use it after you apply moisturiser as this helps to lock in the rest of the products from your routine.
Another option is to add a few drops into your moisturiser rather than having to wait for it to skin into the skin and then apply the oil.
It's important to note that due to the consistency of oil other products such as moisturiser cannot penetrate the skin if applied after oil so don't waste any precious product by doing so.
Generally, face oil is only applied at night but some people like to add a few drops to their foundation for a nice dewy look.
How to apply face oil
Most face oils come with a handy little dropper so I find the best way to apply it is directly onto the face.
I apply one drop of oil on both cheeks, forehead and chin and then gently massage it into my face and neck.
I like doing it this way rather than applying the drops to your hands first as it uses less product which is great as face oils can be pricey.
If you use a jade roller I'd highly recommend massaging the oil into the skin using this for the ultimate at-home skin treat, it's also another effective way of ensuring you don't use too much product.
