I Should Coco: A Chanel Lipstick Fave Gets an Overhaul
I will unashamedly admit I love a Chanel lipstick. There are equally luxurious brands, and more expensive brands, but there’s something about Chanel and that black and gold packaging, that’s just a little bit special. Not that I wear lipstick too often (I can’t shake the feeling they’re for proper grown ups) but a Chanel lippie will always elicit an ‘ooh!’.
The Rouge Coco line, which launched in 2010, has undergone a complete formulation revamp this year. Thirty three formulas were developed, 19 tested and the winner contain a ‘three dimensional’ hydrating and comforting complex called Hydraboost.
The new Rouge Cocos contains a butter made up of jojoba, mimosa and sunflower plant waxes and a polymer film with silicone microbes to help fill out creases and prevent the colour from bleeding.
The formulation is so smooth and glides on, with a soft luminous finish. There are 24 shades across six colour palettes - and each shade is named after someone who was close to Coco Chanel.

The new Rouge Cocos are €32.50 each and the range is on counters March 13, with a pout-tastic Keira Knightly fronting the campaign.
