How to: Glittering, Sparkling New Years Eve Party Look for Lids and Lips
This party-perfect look features sparkling lids and an ombre, velvet lip for added drama. All you need are some wearable neutrals - a basic in most makeup kits and Urban Decay's Naked palette has most of what you need - some glitter, lashings of liner, false lashes if you have 'em and a red lipstick.
1. I began by applying Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin all over the lid and filling in my brows with Catrice Eyeshadow in Starlight Espresso.
2. Keep in mind that all the colours I'm using are interchangeable, feel free to use whatever you like. From the Urban Decay Mariposa Palette, I took the colour Limelight (a gold) on a flat shader brush and applied it all over the lid.

3. From the same palette and on the same brush I took the colour Skimp for an inner corner highlight.
4. On a stubby shader brush I took the colour Mushroom (a unique shimmery grey-ish colour) and ran it under the lower lashline, winging it out to help mark out where I want the wing of my liner to go.
5. Next to add some glitter, I used the Make-Up Store's glitter liner in Show Stopper. To do this, look down into a mirror and apply an even layer all over the moving lid. The trick is to keep your eyes closed then until it's completely dry. If you don't there will be creasing galore and we don't want that. The contrast of the gold shadow and silver glitter looks lovely and is something a little different. I also used Rimmel Glam'Eyes Liquid Liner to line my top lashline.

6. At this stage I felt like I needed to deepen up the crease colour, so I used a small crease brush and Wreckage from the Mariposa palette and just ran that in the socket of the eye.
7. I used Clinique High Impact Mascara and Ardell Demi Pixies Lashes.
For the "Velvet Lip"
1. Make sure your lips are flake free and well moisturised.
2. Fill in the entire lip with any red lipliner, I used L'Oreal Paris Contour Parfait Lipliner in the colour 663 Burgundy, and don't be afraid to make your lips a little bigger than usual.
3. To create a 3D effect, shade the very corners in with a black eyeliner (I used L'Oreal Paris Contour Khol in 131 Jet Black) and blend the two together
