How to drink more water
As the weather heats up it is especially important to keep hydrated. Water is needed for just about everything that your body does and when it’s hot out your body needs more of it, so you need to replenish it more often.
Here are some tips to help you drink more water this summer:
Buy a fancy (big) water bottle
Sometimes drinking more water is mind over matter more than anything else. Treat yourself to a pretty water bottle and you may find yourself reaching for it more often. Try to get at least a 1.5 litre bottle and aim to get through two a day.
Sip before you eat
Try to drink a glass (or a pint if you can manage it) of water before you eat each meal. Not only Is this a great way to get regular boosts of water at regular intervals, it will also take your initial hunger away and encourage you to eat slower.

Start your day off right
Water doesn’t have to come in a glass and be cold. In the morning try to swap your cuppa for a mug of warm water and lemon, it will give your metabolism the kick start that your coffee just doesn’t
Add ice
Not only does ice cool down drinks in hot weather it also adds water to different kinds of drinks. It also helps you drink less sugary drinks as the ice fills up space in your glass of soft drink, juice or even wine (no judgement here, it is the weekend after all!).
