Gorgeous Ruby & Millie Sets at Boots

I must say I am a fan of R&M's makeup. It's a mid-price brand, sure, but the quality is great, they have some innovative products and the packaging is top notch too. They're great on highly pigmented shadows in bright and muted shades, their lip glosses are lovely (even though they run out after what seems like approx 5 minutes) and their i-writer is one of my can't live without products.

Boots have come up with a few nice Ruby & Millie gift sets this Christmas - in particular I think the Box of Colour would make an excellent present. It contains 2 compacts - one with 4 lip colours and one with 4 shadow colours, 2 nail varnishes, a mascara, eyeliner, eyelash curlers and a pencil sharpener. That's a good core kit from which to build from and would be a great present or purchase for someone looking to update their look. This kit costs a pretty damn reasonable €50.40 but the Boots website seems to be saying it's now half price! Hopefully that reduction applies here too. All that slap for €25.20 would be most excellent indeed.

There's also a really pretty Colour Compact on offer for €28.80 which contains 6 eye colours, 6 lip colours and 2 cheek colours. The shades are versatile - the eye colours are browns, beiges, teal green, silver and a dark shade that could be navy or black. The lip colours range from pale and glossy up to browns and reds, while the blushers are pink tones. Again, it'd be a nice gift. Lastly there's also the Make It Up Cosmetic Bag which contains an eyeliner, polish, Body Metal in Rose Gold and a mascara. It comes with a mauve metallic bag and'll set you back €36.
