Get some Va Va Voom with Redken Body Full Haircare Range
Fine, limp, lifeless locks that are inclined to lie down flat and play dead? Yeah, me too. With a view to rectifying that sorry state of affairs, I've been giving Redken's re-launched Body Full haircare range a whirl.
There's a gentle shampoo, €16, light conditioner, €18, thickening spray, €23.80, and volumising mousse, €23.80, in the range, and I've been using all bar the mousse. They contain lovely, healthy sounding things: wheat extract, which provides a light textural effect that boosts volume, body and fullness, cotton to soften and detangle, and soy protein which strengthens and reinforces hair to help prevent breakage. All this niceness is bound up in a lightweight formula which promises not to weigh hair down.

To a point, this system does what it says on the tin. It didn't give me incredible lift (despite its Wicked-sounding claims about defying gravity) which in fairness I wouldn't expect non-styling products to deliver. However, I found that the system did add some perceptible volume and body, and also seemed to help my hair retain any volume that I blow-dried into it. I was a bit dubious about the light conditioner and whether it could adequately moisturise my highlighted and brutalised-by-straighteners hair, but actually it managed well on that front.
Once you're not expecting Body Full to create a Jedward-esque effect in your fine hair, I'd definitely give it a thumbs up for adding volume and keeping that dreaded flat-to-the-scalp-effect at bay.
