Frederic Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Range Gives the Appearance of 1000 More Hairs on Your Head!
"Clinically proven to give the appearance of up to 1000 more hairs on your head!" trumpeted the press release, thus ensuring I actually read it. 1000 hairs! On your head! This warranted investigatay.
Ok, so Frederic Fekkai's Advanced Full Blown Volume Range won't grow you any extra hair but it's aiming to act as a faker for what you already have. Good news for those with fine tresses or those who want more body, this range also promises that it won't weigh down light locks.
That's often been a bit of a catch 22 with volumising ranges - you buy because you have thin hair and want to give it more oomph, only to find that the products themselves are too weighty and end up giving you a lank-looking result. Not exactly what you handed over the cash for, eh?
What marks Fekkai's approach out? His star ingredient is Baobab leaf extract which comes from those big water-storing trees that are native to Africa and Madagascar. An extract taken from the leaves of the tree has extraordinary binding capabilities, the brand says, which which allow the ingredients in the products to bind to the hair shaft, making it appear fuller and thicker. Baobab Leaf Extract is used along with wheat protein and polymers to make a special hair plumping complex.

You'll find that in the four products in the Advanced Full Blown Volume range: Shampoo, Conditioner, Styling Whip and Lifting Hairspray, €24 each.
Psst: Frederic Fekkai is now available at Arnotts as well as Brown Thomas, so slightly easier to buy as well.
It is a pricey brand, but in my experience (I've used and liked the Protein RX products and use the Au Naturel dry shampoo all the time), it's one that's very targeted towards issues. Would you be interested in giving this a go?
