First Look! Benefit's Newest Recruit is Ready for Inspection
Even the teeny tiniest parts of your bod needs protecting; fingernails, elbows and that hairy mole on your thigh most definitely included. Oh, and eyelids, you cannot forget your eyelids, as Benefit well know.
As expected, Benefit's marketing job is stellar. The point of the primer is to 'defend your eyelids from unfriendly skies', i.e. pollutants, sun, smoke and all the other horrid air nasties that might turn your beautiful bright peepers into saggy witch holes. So Benefit's BB cream eyelid primer is a brave spitfire that will battle the elements and create safe haven for your baby blues (or greens or browns or hazels...)
Air Patrol contains SPF 20 and it's supposed to protect the lid and keep it hydrated, hence the title BB cream, and you can wear it under makeup to lock on eye shadow, hence its primer moniker.
We gave it an aul try, to text the mechanics and texture etc and can report that it's easy to use and a little goes a long way. It's got a little clicker at the base to regulate how much cream you need - one click per eye! - and it spreads evenly. The colour of the cream is like a yellow based light foundation but when it dries in that doesn't matter; any skin tone can wear it.

Just be careful of the amount you apply because as we said a little goes a long way and you only need to apply one light layer. It dries quickly and really is a very good base for shadow; colour goes on vibrantly, lighter shades are enhanced, like snow on dry ground it 'sticks' and unlike horrible wet Irish snow in March, it stays.
Since it's Benefit, of course it needs a little extra hook so it's got a 'cushion calm tip' that's spongy, flexible and soft so there's no pulling and stretching your delicate lid.
It launches in September at €29.50 - will you be adding it to your beauty arsenal?
