Feeling Blue With the RTE Guide
In theory, "Blowout vs. Bargain" type comparisons are a great idea. Sure isn't our good friend Mr. E. Hobbs only kilt bringing us budget alternatives to pricey products? However, they only really work when the cheap-o option is at least nearly as good as it's expensive counterpart - or at least bears, y'know, some passing resemblance it.
I feel that the RTÉ Guide sort of missed that point in the "Spree vs. Steal" corner of the beauty pages in their latest edition, suggesting that an electric blue nail varnish from Miss Sporty would make a fine substitute for Chanel's covetable, hard to get, and achingly this season Blue Satin. Which, as we all know, is a deep navy. Er, right so Ted!
