Eye Caramba! It's Urban Decay Mascara Resurrection
If there's one thing Urban Decay know like the back of their hand it's eyes. Their Naked eye shadow palettes are the be all and end all of palettes - everyone I know has one.
That is why I don't think they can go wrong with mascaras either. I really, really like their Perversion Mascara. It's just a good mascara. The hook that Urban Delay try to deliver is that it's blacker than blackest black and yes, it is very black.
I don't need to go into details of all its magical promises, I'll let you know why I like it. Well, a lot goes on in one go. It doesn't clump. Lashes look defined. They also look longer. And, it's long lasting. We tried it out last year with Subversion Primer - see the review here.
So, I acquired the new Mascara Resurrection which is basically the fixer upper product I've been waiting for my whole life. It's a serum that rescues your lashes when they're in a mascara bind (literally.) It aims to revive mascara that's been on for a while or save it if it looks a clumpy mess.
My biggest problem when taking my makeup look from day to night is touching up my mascara. Have you ever reapplied hours old, flakey mascara? It's not good. Last time I did that (ahem, last weekend) I ended up with three thick eyelashes when they all stuck together. Awful.

I tried this over Perversion mascara that had been on for six hours and to be honest, it didn't really need to be touched up. It's just that good! But I tried the Mascara Resurrection anyway because I was dying to. It moistened the lashes which is just what they needed, and prepped them for the new layer of mascara. The brush is very good, it combs through and separates lashes easily. I'd like to try it with a bad mascara job and see if it's really good at fixing it. For now, I think I'll keep it in my portable makeup bag for when those unexpected after-work drinks call.
Topped up, left. But judging from the shine on that forehead my mascara is not the only thing that needs touching up!
If Perversion mascara and Subversion mascara primer are a match made in heaven, this must mean that with the Mascara Resurrection they're the perfect ménage à trois.
Mascara Resurrection costs €13. and is available in Debenhams (in store and online) and House of Fraser stores.
