Did you know, Victoria's Secret makeup is THE perfect look for your wedding day?
We think a bride should look like herself on her wedding day. Soft bridal makeup will make you look natural, enhance your features and into the very best version of yourself.
Your wedding day is the day to go for a soft makeup look. Something feminine and pretty but not overpowering. Bright lips, dark eyeshadow, heavy contouring and harsh liner are best kept for nights out; your makeup will photograph better if it is subtle and natural.
In saying that, some girls love wearing lots of makeup and that's fine. You can still have full coverage, great contouring and smoky eyes using natural colours and textures. What's our tip for achieving this glowing, perfectly sculpted but natural makeup? Make like the Victoria's Secret models.
You will notice the makeup at a Victoria's secret fashion show is always quite soft and natural looking. You don't see loads of dark eyeshadow and Kardashian-like contouring. It's all about pink and gold highlights in just the right places. The light should bounce off your skin in the most flattering fashion. Touches of gold and brown on the eyes; think Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise gold cream shadows. Lots of soft smoky liner as opposed to hard liner flicks. In fact, I love to stay away from liquid liners and use pencil or shadow buffed out in the lash line instead.
Contouring is vital to putting your best face forward for your wedding pictures, but it should look natural. You can achieve a great contour that is still soft using just bronzer, we love Bobbi Brown bronzing powder for this job. What you don't need is a build up of creams and powders which will look very heavy and unnatural in your wedding pictures.
