Clinique Strawberry Fudge For Christmas 2010

Clinique's Christmas collection is short and sweet, and very edible: Strawberry Fudge arrives on counter on the 12th of November and is a sweet edit that's designed to deliver an easy-to-achieve look. Above's the star of the show - this is the Limited Edition Strawberry Fudge Holiday Compact and it's €34. For that you get three shadows and one blush.

And here they are in the open palette, which is a really pretty thing all on its own - all chunky perspex and silver swirls. Clinique's never gonna blow us away with fash-forward brights, concentrating as they do on subtle shades rather than Homer Simpson makeup gun-style slap, so while it's tempting to dismiss this as a bit more of the same - it's not worlds apart from the Most Wanted palette for example - if you're a fan of pinks and flattering colours, then you'll like this a lot.

And here's a closeup of the palette colours. You know the drill with the shadow shades - one for the the lid, one for the crease and one to line. Or any combination thereof you feel comfortable with!

Needless to say, there's more where that came from: compliment your eyes and cheeks with Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour in a new shade, Strawberry Bliss. It's €19, and these feel less like a cosmetic and more like a treatment, I reckon. Nice wearable shades and lots of good-for-skin ingredients mark these babies out.

Defining Liner for Lips in Plush Pink, €19, and the excellent High Lengths Mascara in Black, also €19, round out the offering. If you buy one thing from this line-up, make it High Lengths - it is absolutely fantastic.
