Chanel Graphite Nail Polish: Review and pics
I have been lusting over Chanel's Graphite nail polish, €21.50, ever since this post went up in March, so you can bet I had the launch date for the Autumn/Winter makeup collection circled in red on my calendar. One of three polishes launched with the collection, Graphite didn't seem to get quite as much press love as Peridot did, but it was by far my preferred shade of the three.
Perfect for Autumn/Winter 11's metallic trend, Graphite is a glittery antique metal shade that looks like a tarnished silver from some angles, with its greenish base, but then transforms under light into a spectacular, sparkling pewter. The consistency of the polish is lovely and two coats gives me perfect coverage. The deep base colour in this means it can easily be worn during the day or to the office, while the sparkle that is amped up under lights makes it a perfect party shade.

At Chanel prices, many of you will probably be wondering if you can get a cheaper dupe of this somewhere, and Kirstie looked into this a while back and came up with a few options. I haven't looked at any of them, but I do have to say that I think Graphite will be a tough one to match. So rest assured that if you do shell out your hard-earned shekels for it, you'll end up with something that looks reassuringly expensive on your nails!
What do you think? Interested in Graphite or is Peridot more the one for you?
