Burning Beaut.ie Questions: How Much Beauty Prep Would You Do For A Reunion?
My 10 year school reunion was on Saturday night - I cannot believe that it's a decade since I did my Leaving, eek! - and while I didn't go in the end, I still spent a good portion of last week texting the thumbs off myself to see who was going.
The rest of the time I spent wondering where the hell I was going to find the time (and money) for all the beauty bits I'd want to get done before facing people I mostly hadn't seen since the night of my debs. The hair would definitely need to be brought to Wilde for highlights and a cut. A make-me-glow facial was called for. And some threading to give me truly awesome brows. A professional tan job was going to be a must. As was a trip out to Ellen for some waxing. And if I was already in Dun Laoghaire sure it'd only be a hop, skip and a jump over to Greystones to get some megalashes sorted.
Oh, and a mani-pedi would obviously have to be squeezed in somewhere.

It was when I started contemplating getting my straightened-since-I-was-in-school teeth whitened and wondering what the downtime would be after otoplasty that I knew things were getting a weeny bit out of hand.
Reunions of any kind are really an opportunity to showcase The Ultimate You, Romy and Michelle stylee, and ensure that everyone present sees how extraordinarily well you're doing - and looking - now, thankyouvermuch. Be they full-on school reunions, a get together with old work colleagues, or the promise of meeting an ex at a wedding, tell me this - how much beauty prep would you do for a reunion?
