A Groom is Suing his New Wife Because She Removed Her Makeup
We are quite horrified by this to be honest, and hope that he doesn't get a penny.
A court in Algeria has heard a case brought forward by a groom who is suing his wife for fraud, after he saw her without makeup for the first time.
The honeymoon period was over (sorry, too easy) when the man saw his new wife the morning after the wedding, having never seen her bare face before. The man claims that he thought she was a "thief who came to steal his apartment".
We're assuming that she was either particularly skilled when it came to applying her cosmetic face, or else he hadn't seen much of her before the wedding.
Either way, it looks like the marriage is over, as he's demanding nearly €20,000 in damages for "psychological suffering".
A source from the court said, "The groom told the judge that he could not recognise his wife after she washed the make-up off her face.

He said he was deceived by her as she used to fill up her face with make-up before their marriage.
He said she looked very beautiful and attractive before their marriage, but when he woke up in the morning and found that she had washed the make-up off her face, he was frightened as he thought she was a thief".
