Ask & You Shall Recieve: Using NeoStrata Glycolic Wash

Louise contacted me with a query about NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash, one of beaut.ie's favourite products. She says "I have been recommended to use Neostrata foaming glycolic wash, and so I need an oil free moisturiser with sunscreen in it also". She also wants to know will the wash dry out her skin?

Yep, unless you have a very oily complexion, it will dry out your skin, but that's just a temporary thing and will subside after a few days. You'll then have gorgeously soft and clear skin - you'll be amazed how good it'll look!

As to sunscreen, you're absolutely correct and you really do need to ensure that you use an SPF if you're using a glycolic product as the newly exposed skin is so sensitive. In this case, I'd really recommend that you go with the NeoStrata suite of products. With lots of skincare you can chop and change but with something results-specific like this, it's generally a good idea to use the matching moisturiser and care products.

The Oil-Free Lotion with SPF15 is a perfect compliment to the Foaming Wash and if you find that your skin is extremely dry, the Bionic Cream is fantastic to help with tightness and it's also great as a nightcream.

I know you're concious of price though, and as the Oil-Free Lotion is €29.50, while the Bionic Cream is €40, this might put them out of your price range. But I really think they're worth it for a great overall result.

If the budget can't stretch, then perhaps give Olay's Complete Care range a go? Cheap as chips (about a tenner), available in the supermarket and comes complete with an SPF of 15.
