Aha! So THERE you are: Leaving Makeup in Bags and Jackets
I'm a divil for running out the door and throwing the lip product du jour into whatever bag or coat I happen to be carrying at the time. I don't take a whole makeup pouch unless I'm going from a meeting to lunch to another meeting, and generally a lippie is all I'll carry.
I have noticed this approach isn't terribly bright however, and I often mislay favoured products, never to see them again. Or at least, never to see them until I tug that particular jacket or bag out of the wardrobe again. Case in point: I have a beaten up old denim jacket I always wear in the summer. I dragged it out the other day and what did I find in the pocket? A lovely Revlon red I thought was long gone. Another case in point: me, at the departure gate in Dublin airport, shamefacedly putting 11 lipsticks and 19 glosses into a see-through plastic bag, all culled from my day bag, while an unsmiling official murdered me with his eyes.

Perhaps it's my inner squirrel, and I have a need to hoard against a future cosmetics drought. It's just a shame I don't do the same thing with money, eh?
What have you guys left in a bag or coat and rediscovered later on?
