Can this new tan really give you a faux glow in ten seconds flat?
Tan in ten seconds sounds pretty appealing - but also pretty impossible. This new product doesn't quite do what it says on the tin, but we love it anyway.
When a '10-second tan' falls into your lap, you automatically expect miracles. And it turns out getting a tan in ten seconds would be a miracle. However, the new BPerfect 10 Second Tan can certainly be described as an express tan, and it is definitely easy to apply.
It comes in two shades: medium coconut and dark watermelon. I like a natural looking tan, not too dark. I like it to give me as natural a glow as possible. So, I used the medium coconut shade, and in just one layer, it gave me my ideal colour. A deep, natural looking tan.

As you can see, there are way more pros than cons to this tan. It doesn't take ten seconds to apply, but I think the meaning behind the name is that it is generally super-easy to apply. I found it a really quick process. I sprayed the tan onto the mitt, and there is no spill and no mess.
The guide colour is pretty much the same colour as the tan will look when it has fully developed so you can see exactly where you are putting it. Also, you could apply it and go. It doesn't look too bad at all when you first apply it. It dries quickly, and that's something I look out for in any body products. Standing around drying is a pet peeve of mine so I love something that dries quickly so that you can get dressed.
The cons are pretty insignificant. The mitt comes free with the tan, and while I love a velvet tanning mitt, the edge was so sharp it really scraped me a few times. You need to work slowly with it if you don't want to get scratched. There is a fake tan smell while the DHA develops, but what tan doesn't? At this stage, it's something I can live with. It wore off a little patchy, but that's the price you pay for a deep tan. All in all, I loved it, and while the name misled me, it also led me to try a fabulous fake tan.
