L'Oreal launch multitudes of new products all the time it seems, but DermaGenesis, their latest, is something a little different. It's not an add-on to an existing range, rather, it's actually their first new full brand launch in seven years. Hard to believe eh? But believe it I did, once I heard the science behind it. Developed by a crack team headed by a very nice man called Dr Raniero Di Stasio, it's actually a suite of products containing complex technology, available from about €29.
So, why's it good? Wading through the slightly baffling-ish science and paraphrashing a lot, it's basically able to knit the layers of skin back together. This is one of the things that ageing skin suffers from - a lack of tone and plumpness which happens over time, as the epidermis and the dermis disconnect from each other, hence that 'loose skin' look. DermaGenesis targets that issue, and while it's not marketed as an anti-ageing product as such, it really is one. I reckon it's a very good range to use if you're 23-35 because it'll help maintain the elasticity of skin, while also providing hydration. And we all know, hydration = plump skin = minmised lines and wrinkles. Yay!
I'm liking the serum underneath one of the many fancy moisturisers I own, because anything that gives me more hydration - well, that's GOT to be good. And you lot can get a sample of this product yourselves too, as the DermaGenesis website is giving them out free to Ireland and UK residents - head over and register to receive yours.*
