I dunno about you, but my skin is quite literally gagging for some hydration recently. In a market saturated with anti-ageing this and peptide that, it can sometimes seem that the basic concept of a moisturiser - hydration - has gone right out the window. There have been a couple of launches recently though which are addressing that need. Vichy Aqualia is one, and L'Oreal's Derma Genesis product line is another.
These sort of products are great for skin from 25 to the early 30's. You're not really needing hardcore anti-ageing ingredients in your products at this stage, but you do need a bit more than a regular supermarket cream. And one thing we know for sure about skin is that the more hydrated it is, the plumper it is - and the younger it looks.
I am really liking the Aqualia serum, because it's such a democratic product and in truth, anyone can use it. If you're a bit older than the 30ish bracket and are using wonder products to hold back time, you can still benefit from extra hydration. So using a serum allows you that freedom - whack the Aqualia on first, and the apply your other product on top. You can't loose!

That's how I'm using it right now, and it's working wonders. Soothing and hydrating, this is my skin saviour for winter. Like all Vichy products it's really well priced too - the range starts at €19.99 - and easily available nationwide.
