I thought I'd get fierce sensible there a while ago and decreed that glitter and sparkles were just not for me no mo', and that I was leaving my tacky side behind due to age-related concerns that I'd look a bit silly covered in spangles. But here, you can't keep a good gal down and feck it, I like OTT glitter and bling.
And so, dear readers, even if it isn't terribly age-appropriate if you're over the age of 22, here are a few golden goodies I reckon loads of us will like over the Christmas period.
Clockwise from top left is the latest offering from Viktor & Rolf, Eau Mega. I must confess to deeeeeeetesting any fragrance they've ever made, but the bottle is truly a thing of joy and wonder. Oh, and it's gold, so it gets in by default. Prices start at €51.50. Beside it is one of Illmasaqua's truly amazing Liquid metal offerings, €20. You have to swatch these to believe how unctuous and opaque and truly metallic these babies are. Fabulous.

Below is a Glam Crystals eyeliner from Collection 2000, and at a mere €4.70, sure you could bag a few shades, eh? In the middle is Tess Daly's Face Glow, which looks a huge amount more expensive than the €12 it costs. It's a lovely shimmery highlighter that you can use on the face, and you'll bag it at M&S. Lastly, a bit of old-gold love from Maybelline. Eye Studio mono in Sparkling Gold is €5.99.
