Beaut.ie reader John is a man who knows his skincare. He's very fond of the Menscience range (more about which soon), and he's also recently tried out Dior Homme Dermo System, their new anti-aging skincare offering. We blogged about it earlier in the week, and I have to say fellas, buy it for the packaging alone! John tried out the Repairing Moisturizing Emulsion, and this is what he has to say:
"Well on the way back to work from the pool yesterday I popped open the little sample of Repairing Moisturizing Emulsion. I absolutely hate that tight, dry, post-chlorine feel on my face after I swim, so I figured this would be the perfect time to put it to the test. I have to say, even the packaging of the sample is top-notch. The dispenser tube is contained in a small foil packet with the branding, instructions and ingredients printed on it in black. A nice touch for a sample I thought!
Anyway, the product itself is a light, white gel with just a very slight, clean fragrance. It’s a little disappointing that they bothered with a fragrance at all for those with sensitive skins, but it really seems very minimal, so I’m guessing it shouldn’t cause too many problems. As promised, it sinks in very, very rapidly and makes the skin feel very smooth and silky to touch. There’s a fantastic matt finish too and absolutely no trace of a shine. The fragrance also vanishes after a few seconds too.
For someone with very dry skin, I don’t think this would do the trick as it’s so light and rapidly absorbed, but for normal skin it seems perfect. Great for summer use as well I imagine, when heavy moisturisers aren’t really needed. I used it then and again this morning and I’m pretty impressed I must say! I reckon I’ll be looking for more samples and might even go the whole hog and purchase!"
