Remember that scene from Roald Dahl's The Witches when the Grand High Witch has all her minions in the hotel ballroom and then instructs them to rrree-moof their shoes en masse?
Well, that'll be us very soon (the footwear removal bit, not the witch bit) when we all kick off those winter boots. Toes will shriek with delight (or actually maybe with horror) when they are exposed to the elements without a pair of fleece tights to protect their modesty.
The footwear trends for SS14 are (in the majority) just a continuation of what we had in SS13, which means you can just have a rummage in the back of your wardrobe and still be bang on trend.
So what will our little piggies be going to market in this season? They'll be trotting their stuff in snake skin, neutral hues, PVC and metallics. We'll see wedges, strappy heels, pointed-toe pumps, platforms with rounded toe and the opinion-dividing ankle boots with opened toe.
