It's nothing short of the worst kind of sexual harassment. Miss Piggy and her obsession with Kermit has left the smaller muppet a nervous wreck. Bossy, overbearing and absolutely convinced of her own stunning beauty Miss Piggy thinks nothing of actually forcing herself on Kermie to get what she wants from him. As kids, settling down to watch the Muppet Show every Sunday evening we thought it was the funniest thing ever - and when Miss Piggy lost her shit with her famous "Hi-YAH!" we were in stitches.
However her other obvious obsession was well, herself, and that hasn't changed. In fact it's got worse. If you look at Miss Piggy over the years you can see she's had quite a bit of work done - as does any star. In the Seventies she was quite an ugly porker - the Eighties were blighted by her poodle perms - but in the nineties and noughties she evolved into the sexy piggie we know today. I would guess that she's had a snout reduction, probably ear fillers, eyelash extensions and very possibly an eyelift.
And to celebrate this stunning makeover and the launch of the new Muppet Movie, the world of fashion and beauty have gone absolutely crazy to celebrate this diva.
In Style (among others) have featured Miss Piggy in her very own fashion shoot in their November issue as designers fought to create exclusive fashion for her to wear. Six designers created custom pieces for her: Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Brian Atwood, Suno, Opening Ceremony and Giles & Brother.
