I love a good post-blowdry glossing product, me. Ideally, something that's going to put paid to flyaways, provide a small bit of hold, and add shine without weighing hair down, and if it's going to enhance the colour of my hair, well, even better. I was very excited to try Toni & Guy Blonde Glosser, €9.99, which I picked up as part of the three for two deal in Boots together with that purple John Frieda shampoo.
Part of the Toni & Guy Colour Enhancing range, this is a gel cream containing a UV filter, Vitamin E, and grapeseed oil, shot through with shimmering golden flecks. I applied it after washing and drying my hair and was left feeling very whelmed by it: while it smelled fab, I thought it was a bit sticky and, er, didn't really do anything much.
Then I had a little read of the label.

(No, I don't know why I didn't do that first either.)
Turns out it's not for post-blowdry hair: it's meant to be applied to damp hair as a blowdrying aid. Ah. As such, I prefer oils like Moroccanoil or Joico, which I find also cut blowdrying time as well as keeping hair straight and sleek, and don't fecking confuse me by calling themselves 'glossers'!
