When I think of red lips, I think of a classic Chanel red, a real 40's dame shade. The quintessential shade for tips has got to be Revlon Red, their classic shade. It's a bluey-red that's great on pale skins, and the formulation is great too - I've been using the nail varnish a lot recently and one coat covers perfectly. 2 coats guarantee 2-3 days of chip-free shine too, which isn't half bad for the price-point - under a tenner. For lips, match with any similar blue-red - Mac Russian Red, Chanel Rouge Allure in Dazzling or Revlon's own Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fire & Ice.
