Who run the world? Beyonce and Adele dominate MTV VMA nominations

It's no surprise to see that Beyoncé and Adele's names feature prominently on the MTV VMA nominations list, considering they've both had the biggest years of their career.

The full list of nominations has been revealed, and shows that Beyoncé's Lemonade visual project has earned her a whopping 11 nominations. Adele's triumphant comeback with Hello, on the other hand, earned her eight nominations.

The late David Bowie's Lazarus also clocks up a few nominations, as doesJustin Bieber's Sorry and Calvin Harris for his work with Rihanna on This Is What You Came For and with Disciples on How Deep Is Your Love.

And with that we ask, where does Taylor Swift feature, hmm?

The ceremony takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York on August 28th.
